Welcome back to my blog, a sharing of authenticity and voice, one that has been yearning to speak for decades! The floodgates have opened, and I’ve accepted the higher knowing to be the guide I know exists within. In a world full of chaos, confusion, frustration and palpable energetic tyrants, it’s imperative that we personally each find the FLOW.
The intrinsic way we feel best moving through the world.
Here are a few ways I’ve been finding daily flow:
- Mindful Movement for my body– not just exercise, but an experience I truly enjoy, and look forward to! Swimming is magic for my joints and as the weather heats up, it feels empowering to move through the water gently and gracefully, while increasing your heartrate too!
- Hydration– our body is made up to almost 75% of water! I infuse mine with ginger, lime, lemon, and cinnamon mostly. I prefer warm, grounding waters and teas which act as a digestive aid also. It’s a nice way to treat myself especially when traveling a ton for work! This is one thing I try to diligently do every single day. I feel so much more clear minded.
- “Soul food”– I like to fill my cup with uplifting storytellers, content and knowledge. Each morning I read a passage out of a daily spiritual book that sets the stage for my day. I also enjoy watching plant based YouTubers put a twist on excellent vegan curries! Follow your bliss ! I love to learn about cooking.
- Creative bursts – I allow and block out time to nurture ideas and the simple art of making. I work on my textiles, I draw in my journal, and I write daily. If I ever feel out of balance, I’ll often turn off my phone, unplug, go into my little workspace, turn on upbeat soothing music, and I get lost in illustrating or painting- WITH PASSION, but no major expectation. Even my textiles I often like to allow the day to guide how I feel like bringing a piece to life. Each moment and each creative piece is 1 of a kind.
- VITAMIN D– it’s a noticeable difference for me, being in nature near plants and animals, on the beach near the water, riding my bike through the neighborhoods and admiring people’s gardens. It sets me right back into the present moment, calming the monkey mind 🙂
What is your method for finding FLOWWWW?
