This month is coming to a close pretty quick, and I’m not sure if time has slowed us all down, or actually sped up (our minds) in a rush to figure out “what’s next”? One of the many silver linings during the pandemic is simply the gift of time. No matter how busy all of our days may be, jam packed with work, kids, exercise, spiritual practices, and the list goes on….we’ve all had more time to reflect.
I’ve gotten into a ritual each morning listening to a guided meditation in bed, because I love to stay warm, and usually I’m freezing when i meditate! Does that make me a lazy meditator? Maybe. Ha! But I’ll take it, I’m thankful to be doing it at all. Some days clarity just arrives, like the fog clearing away from the coastline, and others the monkey mind takes over into thoughts about the day, or a need, or desire. Or, let’s be honest, how excited I’am for a nice strong cup of homemade french press coffee! But, one lightbulb moment I’ve had recently is that’s completely OK! There is no wrong, or right way to meditate, or train the mind, it’s an event that we’ll hopefully dedicate ourselves to for life. You can’t wake up one morning and just be an expert meditator. And, we aren’t perfect. Meditation is steadying the fluctuations of the mind, designed to find inner peace, a clear picture, balancing our landscape within. But every day is another opportunity to feel alive, to be our best, and to simply be present. So if the mind is overworked and not obeying my higher self, that’s fine, i just ease into it and remain in the moment as best I can! Kinda like the feeling in yoga class, when we’re holding a pose and I can’t wait to get out of a strange shape. But… maybe that’s the point? To remain in the moment, and BREATHE.
I hope this lonnnnnng pandemic brings us all back to a place of “being”. Simplicity truly is key to a peaceful life. The string of time between our 24 hours each day is really special when we express gratitude for the time. Appreciating the little things, acknowledging the challenges, and accepting things including ourselves exactly as we are. Knowing we’re supported by angels and guides, friends, loving family, and our mother earth! Our world is full of “dis-ease” in the way we live, chasing the dream of money and success, leaving our souls behind, driving towards what we “think we should be doing”.
This past week has been pretty eye opening on many levels, and by the way, for anyone reading this, it’s great to have you! I started writing only recently again because the words began to flow, and I honor the thoughts seeping onto the page. I kept coming back to one thing this week, the words that kept surfacing were “Why, not?”. If you have a desire, a goal, a wish, and it’s aligned with your heart and life purpose- ask yourself that same thing! What’s holding you back? My sagittarius self is thirsty for travel and new experiences, living abroad for example, or starting a wellness center in Sedona. It’s fun to daydream and so healthy for us all to launch those rockets of desire off into the universe! As I always say, the universe never misses a beat, and surely won’t notice the wonderful energy and thought you put into a future hope. Everything is energy. And energy is EVERYTHING. It will come. The biggest ask is knowing WHAT IT IS that you want !
Writing down dreams helps declare them to the universe, so they come true. Isn’t it fun to daydream? Our thoughts do become our reality as Joe Dispenza always says, and where attention goes energy flows, so the more we think about what we want, the faster it will arrive. So on that note, I’ll leave you with one question to ponder, and please feel free to comment or write me your thoughts!
If you had unlimited time, unlimited money and resources, and unlimited energy, what would you envision for your life??
Sending warmth always to each of you and have a wonderful week!
xo love and light,
Meg
